Usage et diffusion des revues savantes québécoises en sciences sociales et humaines : analyse des téléchargements de la plateforme Érudit

Abstract: Cette étude exploratoire s’intéresse à la consultation des revues savantes québécoises en sciences sociales et humaines diffusées par la plateforme Érudit. Basée sur l’analyse de 39 437 659 téléchargements de 2010 à 2015, elle vise d’abord à fournir un portrait de l’usage1 des articles de revues savantes diffusés par Érudit en fonction des disciplines et de la provenance des téléchargements, puis à évaluer l’effet des politiques de libre accès sur les téléchargements dont elles bénéficient. “…Studies concerning various aspects of open access journals are quite common, yet the focus has primarily been directed towards English language journals. Open access journal platforms, such as the Érudit platform for the French‐language journals (Cameron‐Pesant, 2019), or the Croatian open access platform HRČAK (Stojanovski et al, 2009) offers the possibility to analyse the use of open access journals, which are published in languages other than English. Such studies are important as publication in local languages are likely to attract other types of audiences compared to those in English.…”
