“…In particular, the serum level of lipase is a comparable marker of pancreatic disease, but rapid and cost-effective measurement systems are not broadly available [1-3]. Urinary trypsinogen-2 strip test has also drawn attention recently for early detection of pancreatitis, but is not quantitative and less sensitive [23,24]. Therefore, sAm has some issues concerning its use, but has been used broadly as practical marker of pancreatic disorders.…”

“…Additional biochemical parameters to diagnose acute pancreatitis include the serum cationic trypsinogen, which was shown by Weizman and Durie (18) to have greater sensitivity than amylase. Newer tests such as serum or urine measurement of trypsinogen activation peptide have not been examined in children (27,28).…”

“…Se han desarrollado tests para determinación rápida de tripsinógeno urinario. Al parecer, si bien su realización es de fácil implementación, los resultados de sensibilidad y especificidad son contradictorios en las distintas publicaciones, (95) (96) por lo que su uso no se ha generalizado.…”
