Ureteric Obstruction Due to Peri-Aneurysmal Fibrosis

Abstract: CULP AND BERNATZ (1961) found that 10 per cent. of 400 cases of aneurysm of the abdominal aorta had symptoms suggestive of a genito-urinary disorder. They pointed out that although the ureters are often displaced by the aneurysm, this displacement rarely results in obstruction even on the surface of huge aneurysms, unless the ureter is caught in peri-aneurysmal fibrosis.
