Newell (1939) noted ureteral injuries at 0.41 % of 3 144 hysterectomies, while Hermann, Greene & Hayllar (1946) described such injury at 0.05 % of 7 %6 gynaecological operations. The last two series did not include operations because of carcinoma of the cervix.…”
