Uptake, Translocation, and Terminal Residue of Chlorantraniliprole and Difenoconazole in Rice: Effect of the Mixed-Application with Adjuvant

Abstract: Plant oil adjuvants are widely used to improve the utilization rate of pesticides. In this study, the uptake, translocation, and terminal residue of chlorantraniliprole and difenoconazole spraying with plant oil adjuvant in rice (Oryza sativa L.) were evaluated. After being mixed with the tank-mixed plant oil adjuvant, the cuticular wax of rice leaf was destroyed, which decreased the hydrophobicity of the rice leaf and facilitated the wetting, spreading, and penetration of pesticides onto the rice leaf. Additi… Show more

“…After spraying chlorantraniliprole and difenoconazole with the vegetable oil adjuvant, the cuticular wax of the rice leaf was destroyed, which reduced the hydrophobicity of the rice leaf and facilitated the wetting and penetration of pesticides onto the rice leaf. The amount of chlorantraniliprole and difenoconazole in rice leaves was increased by the vegetable oil adjuvant in the first 2 h [32]. In this study, lime peel oil and orange peel oil are vegetable oil adjuvants [33].…”

“…Triazole fungicides mainly belong to sterol demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicides, which occupy an important position in the field of fungicides. Currently, there are dozens of commercialized triazole fungicides in the global market [18, 19], such as, triadimefon [20] (Figure 1), triadimenol [21], tebuconazole [22], hexaconazole [23], prothioconazole [24], epoxiconazole, flusilazole [25], and difenoconazole [26]. Among them, triadimefon is the first widely used triazole fungicide with high efficiency, low toxicity, low residue, long duration, and strong internal absorption, which is effective against a variety of crop diseases such as wheat powdery mildew [27], wheat stem rust [28], and smut [29].…”
