Abstract: Background: Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is a safe and sensitive investigation for the imaging of common bile duct pathology. When used to exclude common bile duct (CBD) stones MRCP may obviate the need for intraoperative cholangiogram (IOC).
