Abstract:Background Utilization of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) increases annually, raising concerns about overuse. Imaging appropriateness guidelines have the potential to standardize decisions regarding imaging based on best evidence, which might reduce unhelpful or potentially misleading imaging.
