“…Besides, Metabolynx TM software can rapidly detect the peaks in an ultra‐performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) Q‐TOF‐MS (Q = quadrupole) data file resulting from in vivo biotransformation, and many studies employ the software to acquire information about the prototype and metabolites . By applying the pattern recognition approaches and with the help of Metabolynx TM , the constituents can be extracted easily with no previous knowledge of the compound structure .…”

“…Compared with precursor ion scan and neutral loss scan techniques, the MDF approach was shown to be more effective for the detection of metabolites in a complex matrix. During the last few years, we have reported a series of methods for the rapid structural identification of compounds in crude extracts from herbal medicines and TCM by MS/MS and LC‐MS (Yin et al ., ; Sun et al ., , , ).…”

“…For example, ultraperformance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight high-definition mass spectrometry (UPLC-QTOF-HDMS) was used to detect 22 metabolites shared by the mother root of Aconitum carmichaelii (CHW; Ranunculaceae) and lateral root of A. carmichaelii (SFZ) and 13 metabolites shared by the CHW and root of A. kusnezoffii (CW) (Sun et al, 2013).
