Update on the management of anoestrus and transitional phase in horses

Abstract: Background: Practitioners are regularly presented with mares in anoestrus or the transitional phase of the reproductive cycle. The first aim for the practitioner is to determine what stage of the cycle the mare is likely in and then determine the likely timescale to spontaneous cyclic activity.
