Update of the BIPM comparison BIPM.RI(II)-K1.Ra-223 of activity measurements of the radionuclide 223Ra to include the 2021 result of the POLATOM (Poland)

Abstract: Main text Since 2014, 4 laboratories have submitted 4 samples of 223Ra to the International Reference System (SIR) for activity comparison at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM), with comparison identifier BIPM.RI(II)-K1.Ra-223. Recently, the POLATOM (Poland) participated in the comparison and the key comparison reference value (KCRV) has been updated. The degrees of equivalence between each equivalent activity measured in the SIR and the updated KCRV have been calculated and th… Show more

“…The discussion of the 177 Lu results at the CCRI section II: Measurement of radionuclides (CCRI(II)) triggered the organization of a related EURAMET comparison and further SIR participations are expected in the near future. In 2023, eight SIR comparison reports were produced and eight were published [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]. These reports now include machinereadable data [25], with this format having been applied to the whole SIR database allowing a meta-analysis of the long-term robustness of the SIR over decades of operation [26].…”
