“…Interestingly, the morphology presently observed is quite similar to the one recently found for lanthanide doped CaF 2 thin films obtained at 450 °C on silicon using a reduced pressure MOCVD approach. 45 This finding points to a direct correlation of the CaF 2 film morphology with the kinetic growth process on silicon substrate for a given temperature range.…”

“…In literature there are few reports on the synthesis of MgF 2 and CaF 2 thin films through reduced pressure chemical vapor deposition from the "second-generation" [M(hfa) 2 •polyether] adducts. 9,10,19,24,42,[44][45][46] Recently, a solution process through sol-gel/spin coating approach has been tested as well for the deposition of CaF 2 . 9,45 To the best of our knowledge, the present study represents the first report on the synthesis of MgF 2 and CaF 2 thin film through atmospheric pressure process starting from the [Mg(hfa…”

“…Generally speaking, the chemical composition, phase, size, and morphology of inorganic nano-and microphosphors influence their physicochemical properties. 21 At present, CaF 2 phosphors have been prepared through many synthesis methods, such as co-precipitation, 22 thermal decomposition method, 16 metal−organic chemical vapor deposition, as well as sol−gel associated with spin-coating procedure 23 These explorations have made great contributions to future research in this field. As for the synthesis of CaF 2 , most of them are synthesized by thermal decomposition and hydrothermal synthesis.…”

“…21 Based on the principle of the three primary colors, white light can be produced by mixing red, green and blue in a suitable ratio. [21][22][23][24] Among the RE elements, Tm 3+ is the most popular because of its blue and red emission bands. 25,26 In the same material, UC white light is frequently obtained via tripledoping Yb 3+ , Ho 3+ (Er 3+ ), and Tm 3+ in an appropriate mixing ratio.…”
