Abstract:In 1963 Andy Warhol created the short film Jill and Freddy Dancing, a black-and-white experimental study featuring Johnston and Fred Herko in a free-form dance performance. The film splices man and woman together in ways that resist seeing the two of them as a heterosexual couple.
