Unveiling CD59-Antibody Interactions to Design Paratope-Mimicking Peptides for Complement Modulation

Abstract: CD59 is an abundant immuno-regulatory human protein that protects cells from damage by inhibiting the complement system. CD59 inhibits the assembly of the Membrane Attack Complex (MAC), the bactericidal pore-forming toxin of the innate immune system.
