Unusual 3,4-Oxidative Coupling Polymerization on 1,2,5-Trisubstituted Pyrroles for Novel Porous Organic Polymers

et al.

Abstract: Porous organic polymers (POPs) have demonstrated promising task-specific applications due to their structure designability and thus functionality. Herein, an unusual 3,4polymerization on 1,2,5-trisubstituted pyrroles has been developed to give linear polypyrrole-3,4 in high efficiency, with Mn of 20000 and PDI of 1.7. This novel polymerization technique was applied to prepare a series of polypyrrole-based POPs (PY-POP-1−4), which exhibited high BET surface areas (up to 762 m 2 g −1 ) with a meso− micro−supermi… Show more

“…In order to overcome the above-mentioned limitation, we designed an immobilization method for Abs to increase the Ab density based on the electropolymerization of pyrrole. Polypyrrole (Ppy) is a material of particular interest in EC sensors because of it has good biocompatibility and easy and simple immobilization of several biomolecules. Various types of Ppy mixed layers are used for the selective detection of enzymes, , neurotransmitters, and catechols . Ppy is also used as a drug delivery material because it exhibits electrochemically induced volume change due to the movement of ions and solvents in and out of the polymer matrix when a potential is applied. , In our previous work, we synthesized various types of Ppy morphologies using sodium perchlorate (NaClO 4 ) as a dopant.…”
