Unsteady convection with chemical reaction and radiative heat transfer past a flat porous plate moving through a binary mixture

Abstract: In this paper, the problem of unsteady convection with chemical reaction and radiative heat transfer past a flat porous plate moving through a binary mixture in an optically thin environment is presented. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved numerically by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration scheme along with shooting technique. Numerical data for the local skin-friction coefficient, the local Nusselt number and the local Sherwood number have been tabulated for various v… Show more

“…They discussed that the rate of heat transport diminishes when fluid is subjected to higher rate of rotation. The impacts of nth order Arrhenius chemical reaction, suction/injection, thermal radiation and buoyancy force on time-dependent convective flow of incompressible fluid is reported by Makinde et al [30]. Awad et al [31] explored the importance of chemical reaction with finite Arrhenius activation energy in rotating fluid flow.…”

“…Makinde [31] studied the effects of order chemical reaction on mixed convection flow in the presence of thermal radiation and magnetic field past a vertical porous plate embedded in a porous medium. Later Makinde et al [32] analyzed unsteady convection with a chemical reaction and radiative heat transfer past a flat porous plate moving through a binary mixture.…”
