Information system designers embed values into the systems they design, even if unwittingly. However, the values embedded in many information systems clash with values held by many sustainability communities. This research focuses on two grassroots sustainable agriculture communities, which are seeking to develop a food infrastructure that is under their own control, and thereby more resilient to disruptions across the globe. This paper presents a five-year ethnographic study of these two communities, maps out the values of members of these communities, and explores the implications of their values on the information systems that members use and that could be developed to support them in the future. By doing so, we hope to influence the design of future information systems to align more closely with the values of these stakeholders, and through these stakeholders to move toward a food system that supports food security and global sustainability.

Зосереджено увагу на обґрунтуванні доцільності використання статистичних методів, зокрема прогнозування, для покращення процесу управління проєктами. Описано специфіку задач у процесі управління ІТ-проєктами. Розглянуто функції планування та проблему прогнозування ресурсів. Наведено приклади алгоритмів та методів прогнозування, зосереджено увагу на типових викликах, пов'язаних з їх використанням. Відображено зв'язок між розвитком інформаційних технологій та можливістю прогнозування даних. Подано прикладне значення дослідження у вигляді концепції інформаційної системи прогнозування для використання в середовищі процесу управління проектами. Висвітлено основні переваги та складності, які притаманні розробленню такої системи. Оцінено актуальність подібних систем. Обрано сегмент процесу управління – обсяг виконуваних робіт, й розглянуто проблематику прогнозування обсягу незапланованої роботи. Виражено кількість незапланованих робіт у вигляді апаратних збоїв (інцидентів). Подано проєкт технічної підтримки апаратного забезпечення з історичними даними за два квартали як об'єкт дослідження. Досліджено залежність між кількістю інцидентів та чисельністю серверів. Застосовано метод лінійної регресії для процесу прогнозування. Охарактеризовано закономірності виникнення інцидентів залежно від змін у загальній кількості апаратних одиниць. Виконано прогнозні розрахунки та подано таблицю зі значеннями прогнозованої кількості інцидентів на наступний квартал. Відображено процес у розгорнутому вигляді, описано дії для виконання необхідних обчислень з поясненнями та послідовними кроками. Проаналізовано результати використання методу лінійного регресійного аналізу в процесі управління ІТ-проєктами для підвищення точності та планування. Доведено вплив кількості опрацьованих історичних даних на якість прогнозу. Порівняно точність прогнозування даних із результатами аналогічних попередніх досліджень. Наведено перспективи розвитку питання, галузі застосування та зроблено висновки на підставі отриманих результатів.
