Objective: Multiculturalism serves as the root cause of social divisiveness worldwide, including in Indonesia. Meanwhile, literature is often regarded as a medium for cultivating multiculturalism among the populace. Therefore, this research seeks to examine the literature's role in fostering awareness of multiculturalism in Indonesian society. Method: The research employs the survey method. The research instrument utilizes a questionnaire containing inquiries pertaining to the comprehension of multiculturalism. The respondents' data amounts to 382. The data source is an online survey platform disseminated through Google Forms. Results: Literature is crucial in enhancing the understanding of multiculturalism within Indonesian society. It broadens horizons to appreciate differences and contemplate the values of diversity. Furthermore, literature facilitates intercultural dialogue and awareness of societal pluralism. Despite encountering challenges, literature also harbors significant opportunities to assume a greater role in advancing the comprehension of multiculturalism in Indonesian society. Hence, it is imperative to continuously support and promote literature, integrating it into education and public awareness to achieve an inclusive, tolerant, and diversity-respecting society. Conclusions: Literature plays a crucial role in enhancing the understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism among the populace in Indonesia. It possesses a potent potential to shape an inclusive, tolerant, and mutually respectful society within an environment replete with diversity.

The recognition of Indonesian Batik as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2009 marked the world’s recognition of Indonesian culture and commitment to preserving Batik. Batik becomes an essential tool in the continuity of Indonesia’s soft diplomacy. Indonesia’s representatives abroad were assigned as ambassadors for Indonesian Batik to introduce it to the international community. South Korea’s one of Indonesia’s strategic partners with diplomatic relations built for years where culture plays a vital role in the continuity of both countries’ relations. This paper evaluated Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy through Batik in South Korea (2010-2021) within the framework of cultural diplomacy’s tools using qualitative research method with primary and secondary data obtained through interviews and literature studies. The paper argues Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy through Batik in South Korea has succeeded in increasing awareness and interest in Indonesian Batik to the point of benefiting the creative industry sector, especially Indonesian Batik, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Caci is one of folk game or war dances originating from Manggarai, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The existance and nature of Caci dance teaches the value of nasionalism, brotherhood, social interaction, rituals, resilience, courage, hospitality, tolerance and aesthetics. Nonetheless, nowadays the way milenials generation play it tend to display negative aspect compared to the internalization of Caci itself. In many cases, Caci showed more personal ego, anger, fights, grudges, hate speech (rants), and the aesthetic and entartaiment functions whis are applied in Lomes (dancing), Bokak (sound art in Nenggo and Danding), and Paci (symbolic expressions/metaphors to show the existance and quality of self) almost have no space. Caci has relevance to character formation functionality such as: the values ??of nationalism, patriotism, brotherhood, aesthetics, social interaction, rituals, toughness, courage, sacredness and manners. Caci becomes a place for the formation of people character if the act of caci is played in accordance with its essence.
