Uno's invariant conjecture for Chevalley groups G2(q) in nondefining characteristics

Abstract

Uno's invariant conjecture for the Chevalley groups G 2 (q) has been verified when the characteristic of the modular representation is distinct from the defining characteristic of the groups. Thus Dade's reductive conjecture and the Isaacs-Navarro conjecture both hold for G 2 (q) in non-defining characteristics.
