Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Mediated Drug Delivery for First Aid (Adv. Mater. 10/2023)

Abstract: Timely administration of emergency therapeutics is critical for patients with sudden-onset illnesses. In article number 2208648, Haojian Lu, Jicheng Yu, Zhen Gu, and co-workers develop an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-mediated first-aid system (uFAST), which enables the autonomous administration of emergency therapeutics via a UAV without the involvement of an additional or conscious person to achieve timely first aid.

“…2b, blue curve), due to the presence of different structural units in the copolymers, whereby the orderly crystallization of their main chains became more difficult, and thus the copolymer electrolytes exhibited higher ionic conductivity than the homopolymer electrolytes. 55 Further, the uorinated copolyether electrolyte 0.03TB-TFPO/9DOL was encapsulated in a lithium-lithium (Li-Li) symmetric battery and tested for its Li-ion transfer number. The Li-ion transfer number was calculated to be 0.68 based on the chronoamperometry curves and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) before and aer polarization of the battery (Fig.…”

“…After in situ photopolymerization, a UV‐curable base was integrated to prepare the URA‐MN patch. [ 13 ] As shown in Figure 1c, the patch contains an array of pyramid‐shaped needles with a width of 500 µm at the base and a height of 1200 µm. The fluorescence images revealed uniform distribution of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)‐labeled LRT (a representative biotherapeutics) at the tip of each needle.…”

“…on studying the short-range structures of disordered materials. Feng et al employed in operando 31 P NMR and 7 Li NMR spectra to track the (de)lithiation process of Ni 5 P 4 during chargedischarge cycles. [98] Real-time monitoring of the structural evolution was achieved using in operando 31 P spectra (Figure 7b).…”
