UNITS IN Fq k (Cp or Cq)

Abstract: Abstract. Let q be a prime, F q k be a finite field having q k elements and Cn r Cq be a group with presentation a, b | a n , b q , b −1 ab = a r , where (n, rq) = 1 and q is the multiplicative order of r modulo n. In this paper, we address the problem of computing the Wedderburn decomposition of the group algebra F q k (Cn r Cq) modulo its Jacobson radical. As a consequence, the structure of the unit group of F q k (Cp r Cq) is obtained when p is a prime different from q.Mathematics Subject Classification (20… Show more

“…The groups D 2n , n ≥ 3 and Q 4n , n ≥ 2 also contain a normal cyclic subgroup of index 2 and the unit groups of the group algebras of these groups and their extensions have been extensively studied [6,7,9,11,13,14,16,17,18,21,23,25,26]. In this paper, we aim to contribute in this direction further by describing the structures…”

“…The structure of U (Z 2 D 2p ) for an odd prime p is described in [11]. This was extended to a field containing 2 k elements in [13]. In [14], the structure of the centre of the maximal p-subgroup of U (F D 2p n ) for n ≥ 2 is discussed.…”

“…The presence of these non-biodegradable materials brings about many problems, such as the pollution of water, flash floods, disposal problems, global warming and so on. 1 Non-biodegradable packaging materials can cause serious "white pollution". Over the last few decades, there has been increasing interest in the development and application of sustainable and environmentally friendly biodegradable polymer films due to the concerns over the limitation of natural resources and environmental problems caused by non-biodegradable films.…”
