Unique Probe of Neutrino Electromagnetic Moments with Radiative Pair Emission

Shao-Feng Ge,
Pedro Pasquini

Abstract: The neutrino magnetic and electric moments are zero at tree level but can arise in radiative corrections. Any deviation from the Standard Model prediction would provide another indication of neutrino-related new physics in addition to the neutrino oscillation and masses. Especially, Dirac and Majorana neutrinos have quite different structures in their electromagnetic moments. Nevertheless, the recoil measurements and astrophysical stellar cooling can only constrain combinations of neutrino magnetic and electri… Show more

“…Just very recently a novel way to probe the neutrino magnetic and electric moments by using the atomic radiative emission of neutrino pair has been discussed in [19]. It is claimed that the sensitivity for the neutrino magnetic moment at the level (1.5 ∼ 3.5) Γ— 10 βˆ’11 πœ‡ 𝐡 is reachable.…”
