O presente artigo investiga a atuação da mídia paulista, representada pelos jornais Folha de São Paulo e O Estado de São Paulo, na aprovação da reforma da previdência do governo Jair Bolsonaro (2019-), a Emenda Constitucional nº 103/2019. A partir do referencial analítico gramsciniano, analisa-se o número de editoriais publicados pelos dois jornais sobre o tema da reforma previdenciária durante o ano de 2019 e quais os principais argumentos mobilizados a favor da proposta. Conclui-se que ambos os jornais trabalharam no sentido de formular uma opinião pública favorável à reforma, além de pressionar os parlamentares para a aprovação rápida do texto original da Proposta de Emenda à Constituição.
