Abstract:Dyeing of wool, polyester and wool/polyester blend fabrics with a sulphatoethylsuphone dye analogue of the commercial C. I. Disperse Yellow 16 were investigated. Maximum exhaustion values and colour yield were observed using the modified disperse dye at pH 7. The result showed that the modified disperse dye was more convenient for union dyeing of wool/polyester blend fabric compared with the commercial disperse dye.
