Unified TeV Scale Picture of Baryogenesis and Dark Matter

Abstract: We present a simple extension of MSSM which provides a unified picture of cosmological baryon asymmetry and dark matter. Our model introduces a gauge singlet field N and a color triplet field X which couple to the right-handed quark fields. The out-of equilibrium decay of the Majorana fermion N mediated by the exchange of the scalar field X generates adequate baryon asymmetry for M N ∼ 100 GeV and M X ∼ TeV. The scalar partner of N (denotedÑ 1 ) is naturally the lightest SUSY particle as it has no gauge intera… Show more

“…This leads to the possibility of multi-component DM consisting of N and χ. The LSP component of DM, which can be the Higgsino or the superpartner of N [27], may be detected via direct searches even if it is subdominant. Such a multi-component DM scenario may also yield a detectable signal for indirect experiments.…”

“…Color-triplet scalars at the TeV scale have also been considered in SUSY models to present a unified explanation of dark matter and baryogenesis [41]. The color-sextet scalars posses similar nature of "diquark Higgs" in some unified theories [3][4][5] or some exotic diquarks [42].…”

“…However, in order to prevent fast proton decay, Lepton number is not to be violated. An alternative is to consider SO(10) GUT models or Pati-Salam like models in string theory that can lead to ∆B = 2 processes but no ∆B = 1 [88][89][90][91][92][93]. Although perturbative un-oriented strings do not admit spinor representations of orthogonal groups, P-S like models are easy to embed in this context [95].…”
