Abstract: Patients with complex nocturnal behaviors (parasomnia, sleepwalking) can sometimes be difficult to distinguish from those with epilepsy.The differential diagnosis includes identifying abnormalities on electroencephalography (EEG) that are specific for epilepsy -epileptiform discharges.
