Abstract:We investigate the underwater acoustic scattering from various distributed “ice balls” floating on the water, aiming to understand acoustic scattering in the marginal ice zone (MIZ). The MIZ, including a wide range of heterogeneous ice cover, significantly impacts acoustic propagation.
