Abstract

I had the extreme good fortune of finding three fantastic mentors at Virginia Tech: my committee-members Dr. Sang Won Lee, Dr. Ben Jantzen, and Dr. Shaddi Hasan. They have each helped me grow-as a scholar, scientist, and professional-in ways I wouldn't have thought possible. Sang, you are my rock. I don't know how you manage to do all that you do.
