Plastic injection mould design methodology and criteria to configure sprue bush for augmenting functionality are briefly compiled. Hereto prevalent sprue conduit design criteria is systematically consolidated and its sensitivity to machine, moulding and material influences are quantitatively ghettoised as expansion ratio on the basis of ubiquitous empirical relationships. This generic, simple, inexpensive preventive criterion exemplifies sprue bush conduit geometry design to inject melt specifically for a particular combination. Further for design meticulousness its sensitivity is also briefly deliberated over a feasible range to achieve best performance.
