This study investigated the impact of prior experience and education levels on user expectations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) based systems. The research aimed to determine whether these factors, individually or interactively, significantly influenced user expectations. Moreover, the effects of system interface, system feedback and system responsiveness on user comfort in AI-based systems were determined as well. The findings highlighted the importance of prior experience in shaping user expectations. It also suggests that educational level may have limited influence on user expectations. The choice of system interface and the responsiveness of the AI-based system significantly impact user comfort. The findings suggest for the creation of more user-friendly and comfortable interfaces. Understanding the various factors that influence user comfort and expectation, can aid the design and development of AI systems tailored to user backgrounds that better meet user needs and enhance their overall experience.

Humanity-centered design is a concept of emerging interest in HCI, one motivated by the limitations of human-centered design. As discussed to date, humanity-centered design is compatible with but goes beyond human-centered design in that it considers entire ecosystems and populations over the long term and centers participatory design. Though the intentions of humanity-centered design are laudable, current articulations of humanity-centered design are incoherent in a number of ways, leading to questions of how exactly it can or should be implemented. In this article, I delineate four ways in which humanity-centered design is incoherent-which can be boiled down to a tendency toward hubris-and propose a more fruitful way forward, a humble approach to humanity-centered design. Rather than a contradiction in terms, "humility" here refers to an organic, piecemeal, patterns-based approach to design that will be good for our being on this earth.CCS Concepts: • Human-centered computing → Interaction design theory, concepts and paradigms; HCI theory, concepts and models.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has sparked widespread discussion across various sectors globally while triggering a transformation in the design industry. In recent years, the evolution of AI has started to reshape how people work and live. As such, the human-robot collaboration model is gradually emerging as a pivotal force driving innovation and boosting efficiency. As it rapidly advances, AI technology can process a vast amount of data while performing complex tasks and assisting designers with intricate and creative work. By automating repetitive, low-value tasks using AI technology, designers can focus on activities that require intensive creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. The present case study examines how human-robot collaboration elicits advantages in creative design. An analysis of the AI-assisted visual design project "ZhuoluFantasie" indicates that complementary human-AI collaboration can enhance design efficiency and assist designers in transcending creative boundaries. Through the process of content planning, text generation, graphics generation, graphics selection, confirmation, and finalization, the 7000 images were ultimately condensed into 27 AI-assisted visual designs. This provides opportunities for cross-field collaboration while introducing new possibilities into the creative design field.
