“…HM levels can vary signi cantly in different organs or tissues of sh [5]. Differences in HM concentrations among sh tissues are in uenced by various factors, such as the levels of HMs in water and food, water chemistry, and the species, size, age, gender, feeding habits, habitat, and physiological status of sh [1,29,[31][32][33][34]. Relationships may exist between these factors.…”

“…Trudel and Rasmussen (2006) showed that Hg concentration may be either positively or negatively correlated to changes in growth and growth efficiency, depending on how fish allocate energy between activity costs and growth rates. Mercury concentrations of northern pike were negatively correlated with growth rate though also influenced by water chemistry and characteristics of the subarctic catchments (Moslemi-Aqdam et al, 2022). Tissue Hg concentrations were negatively correlated with body condition in sea-run char (Evans et al, 2015), caribou (Rangifer tarandus groenlandicus; Gamberg et al, 2016) and little auks (Amélineau et al, 2019), while positive correlations were observed for eider (Provencher et al, 2016).…”

“…Northern Pike (Esox Lucius) is one of the most important socio-economic freshwater fish species, providing various nutrients that are essential for human health. Meanwhile, due to its low-fat characteristics, Esox Lucius is highly attractive to consumers [2,3]. The fatty acids in the raw fish fillets are mainly palmitic acid (42.6%), oleic acid (12.1%) and stearic acid (11.1%) [4].…”
