“…Similarly, the multilevel logistic regression analysis of this study indicated that the age of the adolescent girls had a statistically significant association with thinness. This finding is consistent with a study done among adolescent girls in Sub-Saharan Africa ( 29 ), a systematic review and meta-analysis done in Ethiopia ( 15 ), Mirab Armachiho District, Northwest Ethiopia ( 30 ), and another study in Lay Gaynet district, Northwest Ethiopia ( 17 ), where thinness was more likely in early-stage and slightly decreases in late adolescence.
