Uncovering the Meaning: Exploring Semantic Differences in US Perceptions of “Gamer” and Game Players

Abstract: Gaming is an increasingly acceptable outlet for recreation, social engagement, and professional practice. Despite this acceptance, perceptions of “gamers” have been slower to evolve.
