Unconditioned and Conditioned Anxiolytic Effects of Sodium Valproate on Flavor Neophobia and Fear Conditioning

Abstract: In three experiments with rats, we analyzed the potential anxiolytic effects of sodium valproate, an anticonvulsant drug that has shown additional pharmacodynamic effects in animal models, including anxiolytic action.
