Similarly, pregnant women drew upon their lived realities and previous pregnancies when determining the harms of alcohol consumption (Hammer et al, 2022 ), and their perceptions of harms were influenced by the popular media (internet, television, and magazines) and health professionals (Teysseire et al, 2019 ).
