Uncertainty analysis of a vibrating-wire system for magnetic axes localization

Abstract: A statistical approach to the uncertainty reduction of a vibrating-wire system for the measurement of magnetic axes in accelerator magnets is presented. A surface response methodology is employed to relate metrological performance to system design parameters by means of a suitable model based on analysis of means.
