Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to define a new method (grey relational analysis (GRA)) for extracting pattern samples of dissolved gases in power transformer oil, then a hybrid algorithm of the back-propagation (BP) network and fuzzy genetic algorithm-artificial neural network (FGA-ANN) is used to power transformer fault diagnosis based on extracted pattern samples. Design/methodology/approach -The existing manners (e.g. international electro technical commission triple-ratio method), in practice, have certain faultiness due to the ambiguity of the inference and insufficient standard for judgment. So GRA method is chosen to solve a problem of optimal pattern samples data, then a hybrid algorithm of the BP network and FGA-ANN is developed to optimize initial weights and to enable fast convergence of the BP network, and lastly, this algorithm is applied to the classification of dissolved gas analysis (DGA) data and power transformer fault diagnosis. Findings -If possible, the results should be accompanied by significance. For comparative studies, the proposed scheme does not require the three ratio code and high diagnosis accuracy is obtained. In addition, useful information is provided for future fault trends and multiple faults analysis. Research limitations/implications -Accessibility and availability of data are the main limitations which model will be applied. Practical implications -This paper provides useful advice for power transformer fault diagnosis method based on DGA data. Originality/value -The new method of optimal choice of options of pattern samples due to GRA. The paper is aimed at optimized samples data classified and abandons the traditional ratio method.

A method for classification of the tunnel wall rock is established based on the rough set theory and unascertained measurement theory. The saturated uniaxial compressive strength, rock mass integrity index, structural surface condition, seepage measurement of groundwater, and the angle between the hole axis and main structural surface are selected as the evaluation indexes. The problem of weight coefficients for these evaluation indexes is converted into that of significance estimating on the attributes in the rough set theory. The proposed method is verified by the wall rock data of Yuanyanghui tunnel. The results show that the proposed method has an excellent performance in good agreement with the practical situation of wall rock and is feasible to classify the wall rock. Finally, the proposed method is applied to Xihualing tunnel of Zhu-Yong Expressway. The results are basically the same as those from Delphi-ideal point method, set pair analysis method, and the actual situation, which proves that the rough set theory and unascertained measurement theory are effective for classification of the wall rock.

Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to establish a situation evaluation model of the robot and ball in SimuroSot5vs5 platforms and enhance the strength of the team in a SimuroSot5vs5. Design/methodology/approach -This paper presents a mathematical model based on situation evaluations which can improve the strength of the team in SimuroSot5vs5. The situation evaluation focus on four aspects includes scores of both sides, possession of teams on ground, ball strategy, and treat. The statistical analysis of the score can verify validity and stability of current strategy in confrontation. To evaluate the situation more effectively without blindness, possession on both teams is, respectively, evaluated. Ball strategy analyzes coordinate transformation to the ball on the ground and illustrates the circumstance of both teams on the offensive position accurately in length and breadth. To know the circumstance on the field more completely and synthetically, a threat situation evaluation model is built. An effective and practical algorithm for comprehensive situation evaluation is successfully finished. The experiments prove validity and performance of the proposed situation evaluation model. Findings -A mathematical model is designed to achieve situation evaluation, and the strategy can change in accordance with different situations on the ground. Research limitations/implications -The system is specifically applied to SimuroSot5vs5 platform. The extensibility of the system is limited. Practical implications -When the robot and ball is in high speed movement, a large calculated amount will slow the speed of the system. Originality/value -The paper shows that situation evaluation in SimuroSot decision support systems will enhance the battle effectiveness of the soccer team.
