Abstract:This article deals with a selection of works belonging to the literary production of two British playwrights, Caryl Churchill and Charlotte Keatley, who make evident their concem with the different ways of representing the female discourse and its status as a cultural construction. Both authors will be considered within the context of their age, by paying attention to their skills, methods and technical devices when dealing with questions of gender studies and gender discourse.
