Abstract:Objective.The GPU-based Ultra-fast Monte Carlo Positron Emission Tomography simulator (UMC-PET) incorporates the physics of the emission, transport and detection of radiation in PET scanners. It includes positron range, non-colinearity, scatter and attenuation, as well as detector response.
