Umbilical perforation: an unusual complication of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt

Abstract: We present an infant with umbilical abscess, meningitis, and umbilical perforation of the distal end of the ventriculoperitoneal shunt, which was placed for congenital hydrocephalus.
