Umbilical Nodule and Hemorrhagic Ascites of Endometriosis Origin: A Clinical Case Report

Abstract: Endometriosis affects 5%-10% of women in reproductive age and is usually localized in the pelvic and abdominal organs resulting in chronic pain, deep dyspareunia and infertility. Exceptionally, superficial endometriosis can lead to hemorrhagic abdominal effusion. Umbilical localization is considered a rare presentation, especially in its primary form.
