Uma "revolução" dos retirantes: a greve dos operários da Estrada de Ferro de Baturité na seca de 1888

Abstract: O texto discute os conflitos ocorridos durante a greve dos construtores da via férrea na cidade de Baturité em 1° de outubro de 1888, em um ano de seca. Modalidade de luta consagrada da classe operária, a greve inseria-se na trajetória dos trabalhadores engajados nas obras de socorros públicos, acionadas durante as secas como uma forma encontrada pelos retirantes para pressionar engenheiros e agentes do governo.
