Ultrasound-guided umbilical catheter insertion in neonates

Abstract: Objective: Umbilical catheter placement is a routine neonatal emergency procedure that has large variability in technical methods. Commonly used methods are unable to accurately estimate insertion lengths, and X-rays cannot always identify malpositioned catheters.
