Abstract: Incorporating boride nanocrystals could significantly impact the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys. Molten salts synthesis offers opportunities to fabricate superhard boride nanoparticles, which can sustain the harsh conditions of liquid metallurgy synthesis, thus enabling liquid-phase design of metallic nanocomposites.
