Ultrasonographic evaluation of urethral stricture

Abstract

We studied sonography of saline filled male urethra in 21 cases , who had a urinary symptoms of urethral stricture. There were 11 cases of anterior urethral stricture, 2 cases of stricture with stone , and 8 cases of posterior urethral stricture. Sonographic length of urethral stricture was compared with that of retrograde urethrography. The level and length of urethral stricture in sonography and retrograde urethrography compared to surgical findings in 7 out of 21 cases.
