Abstract:This article discusses the work on how power ultrasound can enhance agitation greatly, especially in constricted spaces. It also highlights the need of deeper understanding and elucidation of mass transfer phenomena under sonication, and thus the requirement for specialised electrochemical devices and methods to quantify mass transfer. It also points out that the use of imaging techniques can help in visualising cavitation bubbles and elucidating high-agitation mechanisms.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
