Abstract:We propose an ultrafast random polarization smoothing scheme to achieve ultrafast speckle movement and polarization randomization of the focal spot. In the scheme, each beamlet in a laser quad is driven by a rotating petal-like wavefront, giving rise to the ultrafast redistribution of the speckles within the focal spot. The rotating wavefront is induced by an optical Kerr medium pumped by a laser beam with rotating intensity distribution that is generated by the superposition of two Laguerre–Gaussian beams car… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
