Ultrabroadband and coherent mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in all-normal dispersion Te-based chalcogenide all-solid microstructured fiber

Abstract: We report an ultrabroadband supercontinuum (SC) generation with high coherence property in all-normal-dispersion (ANDi) Te-based chalcogenide all-solid microstructured optical fiber (AS-MOF). The fiber was fabricated using a rod-in-tube method that presents four A s 2 S 3 glass rods selected as low refractive index material ( n = 2.4 ) embedded in a G e… Show more

“…As can be seen in Fig. 17a and b, when the fiber core diameter is less than 20 μm, it even tends to exhibit no ZDW property [93,94]. Figure 17c is an SC source spanning from 2 to 14 μm generated from a Ge 20 As 20 Se 15 Te 45 fiber with all-normal dispersion, showing a high coherence in all wavelengths and a flatness in 2.9-13.1 μm within − 10 dB dynamic range.…”

“…Enabled by the high nonlinearity and transparency of chalcogenide glasses, the spectral coverage of ANDi SC sources has been extended far into the mid-IR to wavelengths up to 14 µm, e.g. using step-index, tapered or all-solid PCF designs [140][141][142][143]. Where available, details of experimental RIN measurements are also listed, such as total bandwidth over which RIN was investigated, measurement method and spectral filter bandwidth [124,129,134,135,138].…”
