Ultra Wideband Rose Leaf Microstrip Patch Antenna

Abstract: In this paper a novel rose leaf shape microstrip antenna with capacitively coupled rectangular fed is presented. Various shapes of capacitive coupled fed are compared and optimized by successive iterations of a computer-aided analysis. The Ansoft HFSS is employed for analysis at the frequency band of 4.3 GHz-8.3 GHz. The antenna is fabricated and measurement results show a very good agreement with the simulation results. The proposed antenna is able to achieve an impedance bandwidth about 69%. Effects of varyi… Show more

“…Those include compact size, lower profile, and simpler structure, which lead to lower costs, easy fabrication, and convenient integration with monolithic RF circuits. The performance of the UWB antennas in both time and frequency domain are of equally importance which makes the UWB antenna design a challenging and interesting field of research [2][3][4][5]. As the key component of the UWB wireless communication system, the UWB antenna has drawn increasing attention [6].…”

“…UWB digital communication systems which uses an extremely wide frequency range are meant for providing radio communication at low power with high bit rates [1][2][3][4][5]. The performance of the UWB antennas in both time and frequency domain are of equally importance which makes the UWB antenna design a challenging and interesting field of research [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]. An excellent UWB antenna is one which can transmit and receive the frequencies over the bandwidth designated by FCC [1,2].…”
