Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Triple Quadruple Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-TQ/MS) for Evaluation of Biogenic Amines in Wine

Abstract: In this study, a fast, simple, and sensitive analytical method for direct determination of biogenic amines tryptamine, putrescine, histamine, phenylethylamine, tyramine, cadaverine, spermine, and spermidine in wine has been developed and validated. Detection of analytes was performed with ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled to triple quadruple mass spectrometer (TQ/MS). The calibration curves of all amines were linear with correlation coefficients (R 2 ) ranging from 0.9906 for putrescine to… Show more

“…Moreover, these types of saponins (quinovic acid-based triterpenoid saponins) were reported from the genus Zygophyllum and might be considered a chemical marker for the genus. The presence of 3- O -[β-D-quinovopyranosyl] quinovic acid-28-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester, zygophyloside-G, zygophyloside-F, and zygophyloside-K were also previously identified in Z. album , Z. decumbens , and Z. dumosum plants [ 29 , 37 , 39 ].…”

“…These compounds were recognized for the first time from the plant, Z. coccineum, and the genus Zygophyllum. These products were identified according to data obtained from their molecular ion masses, mass fragments in comparison with the literature mass values [ 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 , 43 , 44 , 45 ], and ReSpect databases.…”

“…S19 †). Compared with other studies, TPPA-TMA shows comparable efficacy for detecting PEA in aqueous solution 48,[52][53][54][55][56] (Table S3 †). These results indicated that TPPA-TMA could be used as a turnon uorescence sensor for quantitative detection of PEA.…”
