Ultra-broadband amplification through nanotechnology

Abstract: As demands for bandwidth continue to increase, telecommunication networks would greatly benefit from the development of broader-band amplifiers. The currently erbium doped fiber amplifiers are limited to amplification of approximately 100 nm bandwidth window.
